Eat fish. NOT excess mercury

It’s no secret fish is a great source of protein and omega-3 fatty acids, which is part of a heart-healthy diet.

Unfortunately, some fish also contains moderate to high levels of mercury. For that reason, you need to be aware of what type of fish you’re eating and how often.

In Wisconsin, a Friday-night fish fry is a longstanding tradition. If you’re eating freshwater fish from local waters, this chart serves as a handy reminder for which fish are low in mercury and those you should eat less often.
