Computerized Tomography (CT) Technician Toni Makovsky is Marshfield Medical Center-Ladysmith’s first Sunflower Award recipient. Makovsky was nominated by two colleagues for the honor, and was surprised with the award by multiple departments and her husband.

The Sunflower Award is an opportunity to recognize, honor and celebrate team members who are in a non-registered nurse role.

One of Toni’s nominators shared, “Toni is caring and comforting to all patients. She is always in a positive mood. She could be having the most stressful day of her life and patients would never know.”

Originally from Chippewa Falls, Makovsky attended Chippewa Valley Technical College for their radiology program. She spent some time in Arizona and Minnesota before she returned to Chippewa and started working with the Health System in 2010. Makovsky worked as a medical assistant and X-ray technician in Hayward for 11 years before transferring to Marshfield Medical Center-Ladysmith in January 2021.

Thank you to Toni for all she does for local patients each and every day!
