Karisa Ashland had a beautiful family life with a husband and two daughters in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. When it came to her health, she was taking care of herself – exercising, eating well and having her yearly mammogram. By all accounts, life was good.
Then she was diagnosed with breast cancer, and was suddenly asking, “Why me?”
Instead of helping her daughters with homework, she now had to find answers about whether her daughters would be more susceptible to breast cancer.
